Ellen Kathleen Pompeo (born November 10, 1969) is a Golden Globe-nominated and Screen Actors Guild award-winning American actress, known for playing the title role of Meredith Grey on the ABC medical drama Grey's Anatomy.
Ellen Kathleen Pompeo was born in Everett, Massachusetts, the daughter of Joseph, a salesman, and Kathleen Pompeo. Pompeo is of Irish and Italian descent and was raised Catholic. Her grandfather was born in Gesualdo, a village in Province of Avellino, Italy.
Personal life

Pompeo married record producer Chris Ivery on November 9, 2007 at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau near New York's City Hall, with Mayor Michael Bloomberg serving as their witness. They met in 2003 when mutual friends introduced them at a Whole Foods Market, and began dating six months later. They later discovered that they grew up in Boston 10 miles from each other. They now reside in Los Angeles with their two mini poodles, Valentino and Gigi.

On April 19, 2009, it was announced that Pompeo and Ivery are expecting their first child together.

Nicole Parker (born February 21, 1978) is an Emmy-Award wining American actress best known for her work on FOX's sketch comedy show MADtv. She is the longest-serving female actor on the show since 2003.
In her hometown of Irvine, California, she performed at South Coast Repertory and Laguna Playhouse. She also studied Theatre and Voice at Indiana University and performed in an improv troupe called The Original Full Frontal Comedy. After college, Parker performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Second City in Chicago, Bloemendaal, Unhinged Academy and Groningen. In addition, she and some college friends formed a theater company in New York called Waterwell Productions.
