A-Rod announces he's back on first swing
Alex Rodriguez said he felt "about the same" when he woke up Saturday morning, something the third baseman took as a good sign the day after playing in his first full game since his March9 hip surgery.
A-Rod was back in the lineup last night, looking to follow up his dramatic season debut during which hit a three-run home run on the first pitch he saw.
"When he came in today, I said, 'How are you feeling?' He said, 'Great,'" Joe Girardi said. "I won't ask him to get into any more depth."
Rodriguez wasn't able to duplicate his Friday night heroics,
Before he went to the ballpark, Rodriguez did his daily 30-minute workout in the hotel swimming pool, a routine he plans to continue for most of the season.
